Description
A lighting family where mechanical intelligence turns into an expression of beauty. Three metal rods are inserted into the sphere through an ingenious mechanism inspired by the art of watchmaking, thus forming the frame that supports the glass sphere. Movable rods open inside the diffuser and support the glass sphere as a result of the extremely precise geometric connections and balanced weights. Function and appearance are also in perfect harmony in the diffuser. Embossed horizontal stripes hide the source from view, reduce glare and provide more even light distribution. The device combines tradition and innovation, the ancient knowledge of the art of glass blowing, with a future-oriented technological perspective. Atelier Oi's projects are always imbued with intelligence, quality, emotion, poetry and, in particular, respect for the values that are so important to Artemide: sustainability, ethical responsibility and production responsibility. Glass and frame are two free elements brought together by a simple and easily reversible mechanical assembly; The optical system produces a comfortable and highly efficient light, the diffuser is achieved in a single production process, all production and maintenance features are calibrated to obtain a perfectly sustainable product.
