In the past, TRANQUILLO was a small shop in the Neustadt district of Dresden, where you could find cheerful little things from all over the world, colorful fleece jackets and long velvet dresses. You could also look for stylish pieces waiting for their new owners in the bars. TRANQUILLO was always a place where you could find exclusive fashion and all sorts of little things to give as gifts to your loved ones. Everyone who passed by the shop could smell it even from a distance. Because the shop front was lined with countless incense sticks, it almost felt like an oriental bazaar.
How beautiful! But sometimes it had to be something different. It had to remain colorful and fair. But maybe one day it would be possible to produce your own clothes fairly, using ecologically sensitive materials? These thoughts motivated Christian Amthor and Michael Kremer, who have been running TRANQUILLO together since 2002. They were both almost completely different from each other, but what united them was their passion to bring new ideas to life – and both sometimes winked at “the way things have always been.” When Christian and Micha decide to pursue something, their goals are clear – but the path can be designed in a colorful way – just like the TRANQUILLO style.
