Description

Inspired by Alexander Calder's dynamic sculptures, this design expresses the concept of "graceful balance" through precise engineering. Ixa is a complete and flexible family made up of a combination of an adjustable spherical head, rods and counterweights. This structure allows the Ixa family to expand according to a smart and scalable principle.

The result of a solid design approach, Ixa is an expression of functional, efficient and sustainable intelligence through deliberate choices of simplification. Artemide and Foster+Partners share a deep approach rooted in sustainable design and adopt this philosophy in the development of Ixa.

By directing light where it is needed and enabling physical interaction, Ixa makes the user the director of their own light space. Flexibility, functionality and simple, soft lines make Ixa a long-lasting, timeless design, the foundation of a sustainable project.
