Description

"Tobia is an example of how simplicity can meet character. A sign becomes an object, describing lightness and a function by drawing a body and a form almost like a child's drawing. I had been thinking about this project for a long time" (Ferruccio Laviani). In the floor lamp version, Tobia is a portable light that casts a strong beam upwards. Slim, compact and portable, this lamp finds a place in any space: a concentrate of possibilities condensed into a simple sign. Tobia's flexibility and functional quality are its greatest strengths. The central knot is not just a graphic gesture but also an invitation to grasp it: the lamp becomes nomadic. Colour is a high-performance point of light that emphasises or reduces its presence. In the wall version, Tobia is available in five different colours, with or without cable. A special element allows easy fixing to the wall. Light is emitted upwards and downwards from both ends of the lamp.
