DESIGNER OF THE PRODUCT

Patricia Urqiola

Patricia Urquiola was born in 1961 in Oviedo (Spain). He currently lives and works in Milan, Italy. He attended the Polytechnic University of Architecture of Madrid and the Polytechnic of Milan, from which he graduated with Achille Castiglioni in 1989. He became an assistant lecturer to Achille Castiglioni and worked with Vico Magistretti, head of the design group of Lissoni Associati. In 2001, he opened his own studio on product design, architecture and installations. He creates design products for the most important Italian and international companies. Some of his works are exhibited in various museums and collections. He has won many international awards and prizes.
