Lorenzo Piccione of Pianogrillo is a Sicilian olive oil producer. Like many before him, Piccione observed a growing interest in quality oil, but he realized that there was no single device that allowed the conscious tasting of this marvelous substance. And so he devised an entirely new type of object for the Alessi Encyclopedia: the personal oil taster.

PRODUCT CARE

Clean the product with a soft damp cloth, preferably dipped in soap or neutral liquid detergents diluted with water. Strictly avoid using ethyl alcohol or detergents containing even small amounts of acetone, trichloroethylene and ammonia (solvents in general).

Lorenzo Piccione di Pianogrillo
Lorenzo Piccione di Pianogrillo, born in Legnano but belonged to a former Sicilian family who had been transplanted north, attended courses at the European Institute of Design and the Sacred Heart Catholic University in Milan. He maintained contact with his homeland by transforming the family land into a modern and prestigious oil farm. Over the years, he has gained a great deal of experience in the production of extra virgin olive oil, indulging the great passion that binds him to quality agriculture and olive growing. Father of two, photographer and passionate pianist.

Köbi Wiesendanger
Köbi Wiesendanger was born in Zug, Switzerland. Study at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich. He works as an art director. He opens his own studio and works as a design and creative consultant in the field of furniture, fashion and communications. He also works as an illustrator and character creator, especially in Italy and Japan. He founded the company Avant de Dormir with his wife. Some of his design works have been exhibited in museums, curators Philippe Starck and Jean Nouvel. He likes to be a painter.
