Projecteur 165 Blue Wall Lamp
Description
Designed by Le Corbusier, PROJECTEUR 165 represents a powerful union of architecture and lighting design.
Le Corbusier, who designed the Sanskar Kendra Museum in Ahmedabad, India, between 1951 and 1957, brought together all the fundamental elements of his architectural approach in this project. The spiral-shaped building is an important example reflecting his modernist vision.
As part of this project, in 1954 he developed a special lighting system he called “Projecteur”. Integrated into the building, this system was designed to maximise the effect of light.
As a contemporary adaptation of this original design approach, the PROJECTEUR 165 wall lamp combines functionality, industrial aesthetics and architectural integrity.
