Today, Artemide is synonymous with design, lighting expertise and innovation, with products that are an expression of research and high-quality production. Numerous invention patents have been obtained for technological, mechanical and optoelectronic innovations developed over the years (10 patent applications were filed in 2016 alone). Artemide has produced works such as Eclisse (1967, Vico Magistretti), Tolomeo (1989, Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina) Pipe (2004, Herzog & De Meuron) and the IN-EI collection (2014, Issey Miyake), all of which were awarded the Compasso d'Oro award. He contributed to international design history with his products.
