Alessi Circus series jars with hermetic lids can be used to store various foodstuffs by locking in all their freshness, aromas and flavors. Marcel Wanders made a decoration for these objects, often reminiscent of the merry-go-round set up with the great top of a circus. The cover is embellished with the traditional red and white stripes of fairground awnings, while the gold button evokes the ornament that adorns the centre. The result is fascinating: Wanders transforms classic kitchen jars into cheerful mini-fair rides.

Clean the product with a soft damp cloth, preferably dipped in soap or neutral liquid detergents diluted with water. Strictly avoid using ethyl alcohol or detergents containing even small amounts of acetone, trichloroethylene and ammonia (solvents in general).

Marcel Wanders

Marcel Wanders grew up in Boxtel, Netherlands and graduated from Arnhem School of Art in 1988. It owes its start to its fame to the iconic Knotted Chair, created for Droog Design in 1996. Today, he collaborates with leading European contemporary design producers such as Droog Design and Moooi, for which he is also the artistic director and co-owner. Founded in 2000, Moooi has grown into a world-renowned design brand. Marcel Wanders also works on architectural and interior design projects. Many of his works have been selected for the world's most prestigious design collections and exhibitions. His works have appeared in all major design newspapers and magazines.
