9091 FM° Chrome Top-Top Kettle

1.00TL
Description

Made in Italy: Designer ~ Richard Sapper

The 9091 kettle features a never-before-seen brass melodic whistle, consisting of two small orifices with tuners that reproduce the notes mi and si. Richard Sapper created this kettle from a childhood memory, inspired by the poetic sound of boat sirens on the Rhine: This is because the melody that accompanies the steam release should be pleasant and not as alarming as the whistle of the boilers. This kettle is a multi-sensory object that will interrupt a pleasant break not with a whistle, but with a captivating melody.
