Louis Ghost Transparent Chair

Made in Italy: Designer ~ Philippe Starck

Louis Ghost, designed by French architect Philippe Starck, Kartell's famous designer, is the boldest example in the world of injecting polycarbonate into a single mold. It is a baroque ideology inspired by the lines of the Louis XV armchair, which Philippe Starck reinterpreted to awe, excite and fascinate. Despite its transparent crystal appearance, Louis Ghost is durable with its stable structure. It can withstand harsh weather conditions. With a strong character and aesthetic appeal, the chair is very suitable for use at home or in projects.

Philippe Starck

"Actually, I didn't really design the 'Louis Ghost' chair because it's part of our shared memory in the west. He basically designed himself. It's a 'Louis thing', we don't know what it is, but everybody knows it and it looks familiar. You can mix them up if you want to be discreet. Disappeared, on the verge of dematerialization. Like anything produced by our civilization."
