The chair's name is inspired by the timeless elegance of the Belvedere Palace in Vienna, one of Austria's most prestigious museums of art and culture. The design was born from the meeting of the refined heritage of traditional Viennese chairs with Kartell's research into advanced materials and production techniques.

Vienna straw weaving is combined with a frame made of recycled plastic to create a light, contemporary product.
