DESIGNER OF THE PRODUCT

Piero DeLonghi

Piero de Longhi graduated as an art teacher in 1968 and began his professional career in graphic design. During the 70s, a period rich in activities and proposals, he was influenced by industrial design, where he understood the enormous potential of communication. Combining pleasure and a sense of time, his continuous search for form led him to collaborate with Cattelan Italia when it was founded in 1979. Throughout the '80s and '90s it tied its name to products that are some of our classics today. Influenced by the evolution of tools, materials and construction technologies, it has faced the demands of contemporary design: to create evergreen products that can withstand the succession of fashion and trends.
