Description

Made in Italy: Designer Patricia Urquiola

The specialness of the Jelly serving plate, designed by Spanish architect Patricia Urquila, lies in the material conformation of the surface, which, like the name it inspired, seemingly enriches its gelatinous spirit and reminds us of the shapes used in pastries.

DESIGNER OF THE PRODUCT

Patricia Urquiola

“In the Jellies Family tableware project, a new collection was born as a continuation of my long-standing collaboration with Kartell. A study of materials and applications for flatware was further developed. Therefore, a new line idea arose to describe a different kind of table by applying certain shapes, effects and appearances to plastic, borrowed from other purposes and materials. Its name is Trama (which means plot or weave in Italian), its storytelling function, its tactile nature – equally important in this collection – and refers to a more geometric, rigorous and rigorous approach.”
