Kartell's new AALAND seating collection was designed by Patricia Urquiola and takes its inspiration from the fluid sense of unity created by archipelagos, groups of interconnected islands.
This original concept is reflected in every detail of the collection: seating forms with soft, organic lines blend into one another to create new islands of comfort and socialising.

Going beyond the limits of classic seating forms, AALAND offers free lines, unexpected volumes and multifunctional arrangements. The collection consists of modular sofas, bergères and large and small poufs, and when all the pieces come together they create a sense of organic unity. No piece stands alone any more; they are all part of a new living space together.

Each module is designed in compact dimensions so it can be moved easily and rearranged as needed.
Completing this contemporary landscape are the AALAND rugs, available in three sizes.
These rugs feature two round organic forms defined by different textures; a fine graphic line between them links the two forms and creates a “stitching” effect.
The resulting visual dynamism gives the living space both aesthetic vitality and a modern balance.
