Designer coffee machines are one of the most important parts of Alessi history. Here are our projects depicting this iconic object.

The 9090 was not only the first espresso coffee machine in Alessi's history: it was also Alessi's first object for the kitchen after the 1930s, the first of Alessi's many Compasso d'Oro awards (1979), the first Alessi to dive into world cuisine. It was the first object to enter. Not only is there the Permanent Design Collection at New York's MOMA and, of course, the favorite Alessi coffee machine bar, it's also Alessi's first "amphibious object", meaning it's brought directly to the table for kitchen use.

La Cupola is a coffee machine designed by Aldo Rossi in 1988. La Cupola was created from the designer's desire to create a coffee pot that was easily accessible to everyone, thus gaining much public success. This coffee maker is a small tabletop architecture with a dome-shaped top that is functional and looks good at the same time. An icon of contemporary industrial design, where you can prepare and serve great coffee.

A revolutionary moka pot combining the technology developed by illycaffè and the design experience of Alessi. Pulcina coffee, designed by Michele de Lucchi, incorporates a small but important design innovation that stops dispersing the drink at the right time before it acquires a bitter taste. This helps enhance the full and rich flavor of this drink. The teat, reminiscent of a chick's beak (hence the name of the coffee machine), allows it to stop the drip perfectly.

La Conica , the first project of Aldo Rossi's espresso coffee machine, was created from the combination of simple geometric shapes that form a mini table architecture with a simple and elegant style. A timeless icon, La Conica's body is made of stainless steel and its base is made of copper. It is a sophisticated object characterized by basic geometric forms that reveal a functional tool with which you can prepare and serve coffee.

Created by Alessandro Mendini, the Moka Alessi coffee machine is made of die-cast aluminum with an ergonomic handle and thermoplastic resin buttons. It has a round shape, expressing its relationship with traditional mocha. It is a true and fitting tribute to the daily coffee routine.
