The Primitive bookcase was one of the strongest and most iconic products designed by Studio Nucleo. Originally produced in limited editions, this library has now been industrialized by Qeeboo and re-proposed in a rotomolded polyethylene version to make it accessible to everyone. The product consists of a module that can create sculptural representations and create a larger library by adding a second module to the first module. “Primitive as a primary geometric figure. Primitive as computational geometry of simple solid objects. Primitive as primitive, crude and limitless objects. The primitive aims to disintegrate and destroy. Reducing bulk forms to their most basic geometry. Neither more nor less than volume, it carries the structure, durability and vital consistency of materials.
