Made in Italy: Designer ～ Patricia Urquiola

The Comback chair, designed by the Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola, the famous designer of Kartell, received the Design Awards Winner in 2011 and the Good Design Award in 2014. A new interpretation of the classic 18th century Windsor chair design, the Comback chair incorporates the use of plastic, part of Kartell. All these features combine to present a piece of furniture that is highly reminiscent of the 'retro futurism' style popular in mid-20th century America. The seven vertical "teeth" backrests spanning the lumbar region are reinforced with a hexagonal arch. It is produced ergonomically and as a single mold. The Comback is available in versions with a central swivel foot, four fixed feet, two thin side tubes and a slide.
